Daria Van De Loo is a cellist, pianist, and music educator who has taught in the IWU String Preparatory Program since 2018. After receiving her Bachelor of Music Education from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2021, she became Director of Orchestras at Kingsley Jr. High School, where she teaches fifth through eighth grade.
As Assistant Director of the Ralla Klepak Foundation Music Explorers Program at Illinois Wesleyan from 2021 to 2023, Daria supervised college student teachers and worked closely with surrounding communities to provide high quality music experiences for children and adults with disabilities, as well as other underserved populations. She enjoys accompanying musicians of all levels, and currently works as the accompanist for the youth choir at Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomington. Daria is an active member of the American String Teachers Association (ASTA) and the Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA).
