Illinois Wesleyan University Student Affiliate Chapter of The American Chemical Society

The goal of the ACS Chemistry Club is to foster a community of scientists interested in chemistry. We aim to educate and excite students, faculty, and community members through activities such as demonstrations, faculty presentations, student research presentations, and community outreach.

The Illinois Wesleyan University student affiliate chapter of the American Chemical Society serves a number of functions for those students interested in chemistry. It provides opportunities for social interactions between like-minded students and a setting outside of the classroom for the exchange of knowledge and ideas relating to chemistry. It also aims to serve the community by spreading the wonders of chemistry to children through its traveling show program. Opportunities for leadership are also present through the election of officers on a yearly basis and the chapter recognizes its outstanding members through end-of-the-year awards.
