Available to couples, with or without a connection to the university the Chapel offers a welcoming environment for all couples. To reserve the Chapel for your ceremony, please follow these simple steps: 

 

Please note, reservations are not finalized until the contract is signed and the deposit is received and confirmed by our Conference Services Team.

 

The University reserves the right to decline an application due to scheduling conflicts or other considerations at the discretion of the Conference Services office. 

 

 

Reservation Time Frames 

Couples may reserve the Chapel up to 18 months in advance.

Payments 

A 50% deposit of the Chapel venue fee is required with the signed contract. The remaining balance must be paid at least two weeks prior to your wedding. Accepted payment methods include Check (via mail or in-person drop-off). Please make all checks payable to Illinois Wesleyan University. We also accept credit/debit card payments, though an additional fee will apply.

Chapel Pricing & What's Included

Full Package: $980

  • 1 hour for your rehearsal and 3 hours for your wedding. Additional time can be requested for an extra fee.
  • A skilled musician will play either the organ or piano at your ceremony, plus a one-hour music consultation. Outside musicians must coordinate with our university-provided musician for all instrument and rehearsal needs.
    • No discount is offered if you choose not to use the university musician.
  • An Illinois Wesleyan Facility Coordinator will ensure the venue is perfectly prepared for your event.
  • Ample free parking is available for you and your guests.
  • Full access to the entire building, including the second-floor meditation area, lower-level fellowship area, and conference room.
  • Use of our in-stock furniture, including 2 kneelers, 4 flower stands, 1 altar table, 1 podium, 1 lectern, 2 half-moon tables, and 1 easel.

Our event coordinator will discuss your needs to ensure everything is set up for the big day.

Small Package: $400 

  • 2 Hours in Evelyn Chapel (Santuary Only) 
  • No Musician or Rehearsal 
  • On-Call Staff Member 
  • Ample free parking available 
  • Included Furniture 
    • 2 Kneelers, 4 Flower Stands, 1 Altar Table, 1 Podium, 1 Lectern, 2 Half Moon Tables, 1 Easel
