Anna Corvera
Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts
Dance
Anna Corvera studied dance in New York City at The Ailey School and earned her BFA in Dance from the University of Illinois and MFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from SUNY Brockport. She has taught at New York University, Casper College, Millikin University, and Illinois Wesleyan University. Anna regularly teaches ballet, jazz, modern, and tap. As a young dancer she performed with the St. Louis MUNY Opera, Six Flags St. Louis, St. Louis Cultural Flamenco Society, and Bolivian Society of St. Louis.
Anna has directed six Dance Concerts and one Dance Film Festival. Anna has choreographed Urinetown, L'His
Anna has presented at the American College Dance Festival, American College Theatre Festival, and multiple state thespian conferences, and is a member of National Dance Education Organization. She judges dance and cheerleading competitions, and has taught at multiple dance studios. Anna is excited to continue her journey at IWU.
