Adam Clark, Class of 2009

1. Where are you working? Briefly, what does your job entail?
   I work In the Bloomington area with the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. I am a member of the new ISACorps for the next two years. I will be assisting students in career exploration, college selection, test preparation, scholarship searches, application completion and the college financial aid process.
   
   
2. What aspects of your job do you enjoy most? Find most challenging?
   One of the most enjoyable parts of my job is the flexibility. One of the most challenging aspects is adjusting to working every day.
   
   
3. How does your jpb relate to what you studied at Illinois Wesleyan?
   I'm not directly working with Political Science directly, but I am using a lot of what I learned at IWU. I am using many of the community building skills I learned working with the Action Research Center.
   
   
4. Has your job given you any insight into what you would like to do as a career?
   The biggest insight I've gained with my current job is that there are a lot of creative ways you can use your college degree. In regards to what I want to do the rest of my life, I'm still in the dark, but I've learned that I might not want to do just one thing for the rest of my working years.
   
   
5. What advice, if any, would you give to Political Science majors looking for a job?
   My best advice would to be patient and open-minded when looking for opportunities. Also, start thinking about your future before 1st semester ends.
