Kappa Delta Pi (KDP)
Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) is the national honorary society for sophomores, juniors, and seniors in the School of Education and Music Education who have taken or are enrolled in 2 EDUC courses. Members of the society are eligible to participate in professional development workshops, apply for scholarships, access to careers for educators job database, and also receive publications updating members on education‐related issues. IWU education students initiated to the Kappa Theta Chapter exhibit promise in the teaching profession and have achieved distinction by maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. Chapter members collaborate with the Student Education Association (SEA) members in organizing the Annual Student Teaching Symposium in January and assist during the Annual Inquiries into Teaching and Learning Conference (JWP) in April. The goal for KDP members is to host one service and one scholarship event each semester. KDP has an initiation and graduation ceremony typically in early April every year. Dues are $65/year + $20 chapter dues.
