Quantitative Finance

The quantitative finance major at IWU is a unique combination of finance theory and application, mathematics and data science - all in a liberal arts setting.

Professor Munenzon writes on a whiteboard during a finance class in the Bloomberg Finance Lab.

With the vast amount of financial data, as well as new and more complex financial instruments, there is an ever-growing need for thoughtful professionals to evaluate such data to solve important financial issues such as valuation of instruments, portfolio management and optimization, pricing of derivatives, and risk management.

With a combination of quantitative skills and a strong liberal arts foundation, this cross-departmental program makes our graduates uniquely attractive to employers.
