The Illinois Wesleyan University Alumni Association and the School of Nursing invite you to ring in the new year with a fun Titan evening full of food, drinks, and socializing as we gather at alumni-owned Sweetwater Tavern & Grille in Chicago.
Just north of Millennium Park and steps from Chicago’s Theater district, Sweetwater’s casual atmosphere and full city views are perfect for a Titan gathering. Come enjoy free appetizers provided by Illinois Wesleyan and catch up with fellow alumni and School of Nursing faculty and staff. This event is open to all Titan family, friends, and alumni, regardless of major.

Join the IWU Alumni Association and guest co-host Professor Michael Theune as we sit down with writer, educator, and abolitionist Diego Báez ‘07. We’ll be reading Báez’s debut collection, Yaguareté White, where English, Spanish, and Guaraní encounter each other through the elusive yet potent figure of the jaguar. Audience members are encouraged to read Yaguareté White prior to this virtual event and come prepared with questions for the author.
