American Association of Neuroscience Nurses

The Excellence in Advanced Practice Nursing Award is awarded to a neuroscience nurse in an advanced practice role. Nominees for the Excellence in Advanced Practice Nursing Award demonstrate excellence in nursing care and advancement of neuroscience nursing as a specialty through the development and support of nurses. This award is open to all AANN RN members practicing in an Advanced Practice role in neuroscience nursing. Advanced Practice role as defined by ANA includes the roles of Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Practitioner, Midwife, and Nurse Anesthetist.

The John A. Hartford Foundation/MNRS Award for Leadership in Geriatric Nursing Research recognizes MNRS members who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in geriatric nursing science, and who have impacted quality of care for older adults in the MNRS region through their scholarship and mentorship.

Sigma Theta Tau International

The purpose of the Sigma Theta Tau International/Midwest Nursing Research Society research grant is to encourage qualified nurses to contribute to the advancement of nursing through research; proposals for pilot and/or developmental research may be submitted. All research topics and designs are eligible for support. Multidisciplinary, historical, and international research is encouraged.

National Hemophilia Foundation

The purpose of the National Hemophilia Foundation Nursing Fellowship is to provide support for a registered nurse currently employed or interested in hemophilia care to conduct nursing research or clinical projects. Endorsement by a federally funded hemophilia treatment center is recommended. Only registered nurses from an accredited nursing school enrolled in a graduate nursing program or practicing hemophilia nursing care may apply.

The purpose of the annual ISONG Nursing Research Grant award is to support research related to genetic/genomic nursing practice or to the development of genetic/genomic nursing science. Grant funding may be used as "seed" money for conducting a pilot study or for support of an ongoing research investigation with promising contribution to genetic/genomic nursing science and genetic nursing practice

The Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science (CANS)/ANF Nursing Research Grant supports nursing research conducted by a postdoctoral fellow or new investigator who has completed the doctorate within the past four years.  One award of $5,000 will be made.

The goal of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Nurse Faculty Scholars (NFS) program is to develop the next generation of national leaders in academic nursing through career development awards for outstanding junior nursing faculty. The program aims to strengthen the academic productivity and overall excellence of nursing schools by providing mentorship, leadership training, and salary and research support to young faculty.

The Nursing Research Grant are awarded annually to nursing students interested in studying problems encountered by patients with myasthenia gravis (MG) or related neuromuscular conditions.

Oncology Nursing Foundation/SocietyThe Research Grant program is designed to support oncology nursing research conducted by beginning and experienced researched.  Funding is available up to $25,000. 

The Adherence to Oral Chemotherapy Research Grant supports research proposals that address nursing interventions to promote and maintain adherence to oral chemotherapy.  Funding is available for pilot or feasibility study [up to $75,000] and for research grants [up to $150,000]. 

The Research Career Development Award funds activities to increase the recipient's knowledge and experience related to further developing his/her program of research by supporting short-term oncology research education training and mentorship. Funding is available up to $20,000 (including $2,000 for mentor or mentor's institution).

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Executive Nurse Fellows program is a three-year advanced leadership program for nurses who aspire to lead and shape health care locally and nationally. Fellows strengthen and improve their leadership abilities related to improving health and health care.

International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation
ISHLT issues at least one Nursing and Social Sciences Research Grant annually in an amount of up to $12,000. The funding period is for one year. The purpose of this award is to encourage qualified nurses, social scientists and other health care professionals to conduct research related to the areas of end-stage heart and lung disease and transplantation. This award is designated for non-physician health professionals.
