Career Immersion Excursion
The Career Immersion Excursion is a multi-day program during Spring Break where a group of IWU students travel to a U.S. city to engage with successful Titan alumni! CIE is designed to offer students an opportunity to get a close-up look at industries, companies, and careers. This trip also provides a chance for students to clarify career goals and aspirations. Students build their network through employer site visits, panel sessions, alumni socials, and professional networking events.

Are you considering a career in STEM? Join us for the CIE from Sunday, March 9 to
Tuesday, March 11, 2025, where a group of IWU students will travel to the Chicagoland
area to connect with successful Titan alumni and explore exciting STEM career opportunities.
This multi-day experience includes:
- A Young Alumni Panel featuring IWU graduates in STEM careers
- Small Group Dinners with successful alumni
- Employer site visits to Fermilab, Argonne National Laboratory and mHUB
Who should apply?
- All students in STEM fields are encouraged to apply!
How to apply?
- Submit a resume on Handshake
- Selected candidates will be contacted.
Cost?
- Once you are selected, a $200 fee will be due by February 24, 2025. This fee covers your participation, with the remaining costs generously funded by IWU donors.
- Students unable to cover the cost due to financial need should contact the Hart Career Center at ccenter@iwu.edu. A limited number of scholarships are available.
