Ways to Volunteer

1. Join an Alumni Network

Affinity Groups and Committees provide you the opportunity to remain connected with IWU through a passion that is close to your heart.

  • Council for IWU Women
  • International Alumni Network
  • Alumni of Color Collective
  • Pride Alumni Community
  • Wesleyan Fund Committee
  • Young Alumni Council

IWU Regional Alumni Chapters exist all over the US to help you stay connected with alumni in your area. We rely on volunteers in these areas to help us plan alumni events, organize activities within the local communities, and partner with the Office of Alumni Engagement for other volunteer needs.

2. Assist Current and Prospective Students

Titan Alumni Ambassadors assist in the efforts led by the Admissions team to recruit the best and brightest students to become part of the Titan family. Being a Titan Alumni Ambassador involves communicating with prospective students to answer questions, share your experience of IWU, congratulate them on being admitted, and offer support and encouragement in their first year at IWU.

Assist with Career Connections & Workshops through the Hart Career Center who hosts virtual and on-campus career programs/workshops for students navigating the job and internship search. You can share expertise, encouragement, or participate in one of our many annual Job and Internship Fairs! Contact a member of the Hart Career Center if you're interested. You can also post job and internship opportunities for students through Handshake. Follow the Career Center on Instagram and Facebook.

3. Stay Virtually Involved

Follow the IWU Alumni Association on social media:

Participate in From the Stacks, IWU's community book club that highlights alumni authors who have made a significant impact on the world of writing. Quarterly webinars provide in-depth discussions and live Q&A sessions with authors.

4. Share Your Updates!

Help us celebrate the performances, marriages, births, and honors of your life with you!

Share your news with us!

Alumni updates are often featured in the next issue of the Alumni Magazine!
