Council for IWU Women (CFW) Women's Weekend
Join the Council for IWU Women (CFW) for our annual Women’s Weekend, April 4-5 2025 as we connect, serve, learn, and inspire. Founded in 2006, CFW was created to support
female-identifying students with the help of successful alumnae as mentors and resources.
While our weekend of events is focused on students, faculty, staff, and alumnae who
identify as women, all are welcome to attend any or all public sessions. Come as you
are!
CFW Women’s Weekend public events are free and open to the Illinois Wesleyan community.
Weekend activities, scholarships, and meals are funded by CFW members.

12 p.m. Kickoff Luncheon Featuring Keynote Speaker Abby Reel ‘04. Joslin Atrium, Memorial Center. Students are encouraged to join us for this buffet luncheon where we’ll hear from Abby Reel ‘04 as she discusses career readiness, resumé building, interview skills, and everything in between. |

1:30 p.m. Quick Connect Sessions. Turfler Room, Memorial Center. Hey students! Skip the small talk and drop in on our informal networking open house. Chat with Council members about life and careers, or answer fun group questions to get the conversation going. |

4 p.m. Happy Hour. Tommy's, Hansen Student Center. A friendly meet-and-greet for Council members, faculty, and staff. |

6:30 p.m. Women of Influence Trivia. Tommy's, Hansen Student Center. Test your knowledge of women: women of IWU, women in history, pop culture icons, trends and more! Grab your friends and bring home bragging rights and prizes! |

9 a.m. Council for IWU Women (CFW) Annual Meeting and Kickoff Breakfast. Niepagen South Room, Shirk Center. Enjoy a continental breakfast and engaging activity to bring us closer together. We will also be holding our annual meeting to discuss official CFW business. Council for IWU Women members only. |

11:00 a.m. Women of Influence Panel Discussion. Niepagen North Room, Shirk Center. Listen to inspiring personal stories of leadership and resilience, and join the conversation to discuss the women of influence in your own life. |

12 p.m. Scholarship Luncheon. Niepagen South Room, Shirk Center. Celebrate our incredible scholarship winners and hear their perspectives on life and IWU during a panel discussion. |

1:30 p.m. Skill Building Mini Sessions. Niepagen North Room, Shirk Center. Learn valuable life skills from Council members, including personal branding, emotional intelligence, and effective communication. |
